ChangedEdu snaps up GateWay Education

Singapore-based ChangedEdu Holdings has snapped up GateWay Education, EducationInvestor can reveal. Founded in 2004 in Northampton, GateWay predominantly recruits students from China and places them in independent schools across the UK and the US. It offers a range of pre-GCSE, GCSE, pre A-level, A-level and foundation courses. In February, EducationInvestor reported GateWay was exploring strategic options and that DC Advisory was appointed to guide the process.  A deal was reached after a competitive process with interest from both strategic and financial investors across Asia, Europe and the US. The acquisition will allow GateWay to expand its offering at the US East Coast and extend student recruitment channels into new source countries.
