Out of a total entry of 83 A Level examinations from 26 students, the pass rate increased by 10% from 2017. Head of School Mike Farrer said: “These fantastic results show a significant upward trend in our academic performance as a school and sixth form. We are going from strength to strength and for the third year running, achievement has improved. This is a collective success for all involved in exam teaching, preparation, supporting with revision and study at home and in preparing students for the potential stress of exam nerves. Most of all, it is testament to the hard work and commitment invested by our students.
National reporting in the UK by the Times Education Supplement indicates that the proportion of A-Level entries receiving an A* has fallen to its lowest level in five years and yet we have seen our own A* - A achievement levels double.
