Collegewise Expands Counseling Network with Acquisition of Ivy Ed

Collegewise is growing its team of elite college counselors with the acquisition of Ivy Educational Services (Ivy Ed). Both companies will continue to provide students with the highest quality advice and support as they pursue degrees in higher education. Collegewise will be expanding a number of its offices in the U.S. as a result of the acquisition and will be adding Ivy Ed services, including test preparation and curriculum tutoring, in several locations.

"In Collegewise, we've found a partner who shares our mission to alleviate the anxiety that students and parents feel around the college admissions process," said Nicole Oringer, Owner and Director of College Counseling at Ivy Ed. "Now, all of our students collectively will benefit from our team approach and the specialized knowledge that both teams bring to the table in subjects as diverse as standardized testing, athletic recruiting, visual and performing artists, students with learning differences, STEM, international education, and financial aid. We look forward to partnering with Collegewise to ensure that all of our students reach their academic potential."

"Ivy Ed and Collegewise share counseling philosophies and an unrelenting dedication to providing students with the support and advice they need to reduce stress and make the college application process an enjoyable and exciting experience," said Joel Block, Collegewise's CEO and Managing Partner. "This is an exciting time for both companies. We look forward to working hand-in-hand with the Ivy Ed team as we plan for future growth and strive to make the best college counseling services available to more students."

Collegewise counselors work one-on-one with students to create testing plans, identify best-fit colleges, review applications, and provide support during final college selection. Soon, services that Ivy Ed specializes in, including test preparation, will also be available through the Collegewise network.
